Project 2 (Mnchen, September 2003 - April
2004):
Server
migrations. Daily task included administration of over 40 Linux (Debian / RedHat / Suse) servers and several Sun's servers running Solaris 8.
Primary task was to administer Linux Beowulf cluster which
was running ETA forecast model, and satellite computers that were computing
data for pre processing and post processing for this system. Most of the
services were time critical. LAN/WAN administration including
several Cisco routers. Implemented rsync based
backup system for Linux servers and database fail-over system. Implemented SNMP (rrdtool) for network
management/monitoring.
